Keystone Associates is pleased to announce Alexis R. Pleus, P.E., LEED AP, is now a certified Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector as of November 2011.
The certification, offered through the International Code Council, involves a 3 ½ hour exam testing knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction Codes, Standards and Practices, Plan reading and comprehension, special inspection programs and structural steel and bolting testing requirements.
Ms. Pleus is certified to inspect structural steel and bolting of commercial building projects meeting the requirements of the Special Inspections Program for Structural Elements as required by the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.
There are only 247 individuals in all of New York State with this certification and only four in the triple cities. Keystone employs two of those four inspectors.
