8/17/09 – Keystone Associates’ Environmental Scientist Earns LEED Accreditation

Keystone Associates is pleased to announce that Timothy M. O’Connor, CPESC-IT, is their newest Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional. Mr. O’Connor has demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles outlined in the LEED Green Building Rating System.

Mr. O’Connor, LEED AP, is an Environmental Scientist with more than 11 years of experience in groundwater and soil sampling ranging from commercial office buildings to industrial plating facilities. In addition, Mr. O’Connor helps lead the firm’s Stormwater Department which provides Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and required inspection services to many of our area construction projects.

As a LEED Accredited Professional, Mr. O’Connor can provide assistance and guidance to incorporate sustainable design principles in project development ensuring energy savings and a reduced impact on our environment. In addition, with LEED credentials, clients recognize that Keystone can assist them in registering and certifying a project through the LEED program.

Combining Mr. O’Connor’s recent accreditation with Keystone’s current LEED accredited professionals, the firm can now boast having 10% of their total staff as LEED accredited professionals including one of the first LEED professionals in the area, Mr. Kenneth R. Gay, II, RA, a testament to Keystone’s commitment to providing sustainable and environmentally conscious design solutions.
