9/1/09 – Keystone Associates Engineer Receives CPESC Certification

Keystone Associates, LLC, is pleased to announce that Alexander N. Urda, P.E., has earned certification as a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).

CPESC professionals must pass a written exam designed to determine proficiency in the principles, practices, and legislation of erosion and sediment control. Applicants must also earn a qualifying BS degree with three years of professional experience in the soil erosion and sediment control profession, or complete seven years or more of professional-level experience.

Mr. Urda, a Project Engineer, has been in the industry for more than 11 years. His experience spans across many areas of civil engineering, from the design of new public and private facilities to stormwater management and permit coordination.

As CPESC Professional, Mr. Urda can assist clients by navigating the permitting process, designing erosion and sediment control and stormwater management plans that comply with regulations, and helping ensure that these plans are effectively implemented. This is especially important today as Federal environmental regulations such as the EPA’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II regulations require erosion and sediment control measures for all construction projects disturbing one acre or more.

Keystone is committed to providing our clients with services that set the highest standards in our industry and we congratulate Mr. Urda on his accomplishment.
