Keystone Material Testing, LLC (KMT), is pleased to announce they were awarded a contract to provide inspection, sampling and testing services for the Gilboa Dam Reconstruction project. The Gilboa Dam, built in the early 1900s, forms the Schoharie Reservoir, a key element in New York City’s daily water supply. This project involves reconstructing the spillway control section to address existing deterioration, improve hydraulic flow, and enhance structural stability. The project also includes reconstructing the spillway chute channel and plunge pool, modifying and repairing the east, west and north spillway training walls, and modifying the upstream embankment to improve stability. KMT was contracted to provide testing and inspection services for the reconstruction project including special inspections for all structural elements including soils, concrete, masonry, and structural steel.
