3/3/10 – Keystone Associates Wins Design Award

Keystone Associates was recently honored with a Light Commercial ICF Builder Award for the Boys and Girls Club of Binghamton. The award was presented for the use of Insulated Concrete Forms on the 20,500 square foot facility on Clinton Street.

The ICF Builder Awards are held annually to recognize the best in insulated concrete form construction. They are widely acknowledged as the most prestigious competition for projects built with insulated concrete forms (ICFs). Projects were submitted from Canada, Asia, Europe and the U.S. Awards were presented in three categories: residential, light commercial and heavy commercial. Judging for the award was based on the project’s complexity and creativity, architecture, construction and site considerations and sustainability.

Keystone Associates was awarded second place in the Light Commercial Division at the recent World of Concrete Trade Show held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kenneth R. Gay, II, RA, LEED AP, Senior Project Architect, attended the conference to accept the award.

Additional team members were Andrew R. Mancini Associates (General Contractor), Oggi Concrete Forms and Accessories (LOGIX ICF System Supplier), Cotton’s Concrete Construction (ICF Contractor), Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (MEP Engineer) and Klepper, Hahn & Hyatt (Project Structural Engineer).

Keystone Associates is proud to be recognized and is committed to raising the bar for design and sustainability excellence.
