11/16/12 – Keystone to Design Kerr-Pegula Complex at Houghton College

Keystone Associates is pleased to announce that the firm was selected to provide architectural and engineering services for the new Kerr-Pegula Athletic Complex at Houghton College in Houghton, New York. As part of the transition into the NCAA, Houghton College has expanded its sports offerings, joined the prestigious Empire 8 Conference, and begun development of a multi-sport facility known as the Kerr-Pegula Athletic Complex.

The multi-million dollar project will include a multi-sport field turf facility and multi-purpose fieldhouse. The field turf facility will provide playing surfaces for soccer, field hockey and lacrosse teams (phase I) and baseball and softball stadiums (phase II). The fieldhouse (phase III) will include a 200 meter indoor track with designated areas for field events; tennis courts; indoor practice space for field sports; lockers rooms; weight rooms; athletic training/sports medicine area; concession venues; rest rooms; storage and office space.

Keystone’s services include survey; geotechnical; site development plans including landscape and water retention/drainage design; structural engineering; programming and planning; architectural design; plumbing, fire protection, heating and air conditioning design; electrical design; and construction administration and management.

Phase I of the three phase project was completed in August 2012 with phase II currently under construction and the fieldhouse (phase III) to start in the spring. Final completion is anticipated in the spring of 2014.
