5/16/12 – KMT Awarded Contract with Broome County

Keystone Material Testing, LLC (KMT), is pleased to announce they have been awarded a contract by Broome County to conduct Healthy Homes activities on behalf of the Broome County HUD Lead Hazard Control Program. The Healthy Homes initiative is a separate part of the Lead Hazard Control Program that is intended to work in conjunction with the lead inspections and remediation work being done on each home. The goal of the program is to conduct Healthy Homes surveys, identify potential health hazards, and address as many issues as possible while HUD Lead Hazard Control Program staff are already working in the home. This will involve the identification and evaluation of health and safety hazards in the home, followed by the reporting of results, recommendations/resources for possible solutions, and potential remediation of identified hazards. The program runs from March 1, 2011 to February 28, 2014. Keystone is proud to be part of projects that will protect children and families from potentially dangerous lead-based paint and other home health and safety hazards.
