West Creek Road Bridge
Keystone was retained to complete the design of a bridge project for Tioga County. The bridge over West Hill Creek had received an inferior rating during the New York State’s biannual bridge inspection which required the county to reduce the load posting for the structure. By taking advantage of the pre-engineering inherent with a precast structure, Keystone was not only able to reduce the design time, but we were also able to reduce the design fees. Engineering work included design, development of roadway plans, foundation designs, instruction plans for bridge, placement, specifications and bid documents. AASHTO Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges, New York State Standard Specifications, the Highway Design Manual and the Bridge Manual were used to guide the design and specifications for this project.
